Co Founder Rose M. Aldana is a Santa Barbara native, born and raised in Santa
Barbara along with two brothers Sebastian, Jr., Joe and her late parents
Sebastian Sr. and Maria R. Aldana. She has a 22 year old daughter in College. Rose has been a active Real Estate Agent
since 1984 with a background in Banking Operations, Escrow, Marketing, Property Management and making a difference by creating Events to benefit local non-profits and the community.
The last 18 mos. Rose has been recouping from a head injury and is so deeply grateful to Cottage Rehabilitation Physical Therapy for their wonderful care and treatment. “To host this event for our neighborhood and MIlpas Corridor pushes me to work harder to overcome this injury and make every effort to get back on track… which may take a while. Thank you to the many Sponsors & Volunteers that assist to make this event possible. The reason for creating this event was remembering the warm memories as a child, of the tall majestic Christmas Trees lining State Street during the Christmas Season from the 60’s through the 70’s, and the need to start Christmas memories on Santa Barbara’s East.
Katie Moralez, a long time friend & Santa Barbara East resident, has been involved since the 1st year’s Roundabout Tree Lighting Event 2010. She said to the SBNP “she hoped this event would take root, because this part of town really needed it”. With that said, we have shown dedication and love for our neighborhood and community to continue and keeping the tradition going for years to come.
